Everyone Googles almost everything. This is particularly true when it comes to services, jobs, restaurants, gyms, etc. Looking something up using your computer or smartphone is almost a reflex at this point when people need information. This is also true when it comes to those looking for private tutorials and coaching. If you want students to find you, you'll need an online presence. (Source: vesnazajchenko)You can use the internet to learn so many things: IT, cooking, foreign languages, plumbing, etc., but when it comes to sports, itâs hard to beat the real thing and having a coach present in the room with you. That said, web users will still use Google to look for local services such as a boxing coach in their area, be it for traditional boxing, kick-boxing, savate, or Thai boxing. You should have a presence so that if a potential customer near you starts looking for a boxing coach, you show up. There are plenty of platforms you can use for this. Some specialise in sport and others in teaching all types of subjects from academic subjects to the arts, hobbies, sports, and leisure activities.Itâs up to you whether or not you travel to your customersâ houses, train them in boxing gyms, leisure centres, or opt to teach via webcam. You can always opt for all three, too. While it's easier for traine rs to work on technical aspects of boxing like footwork while in the room with their student, a fitness boxing workout can easily be taught online via webcam. Similarly, most people don't have a boxing ring in their own home so there are certain things you just won't be able to do in boxing lessons outside of a gym.Platforms for Offering Boxing CoachingIn the virtual world, there are plenty of sites where you can post your ad and advertise what youâre offering. Sites like Gumtree and Craigslist allow you to do this. These sites are mostly free to use and theyâre generally used for people to find services or buy things. Tell your students what to expect in your ads. (Source: StockSnap)There arenât many boxing coaches offering their services via these sites so there may be an untapped market to exploit. After all, these sites get a lot of traffic, resulting in more exposure for you and your business.Make sure you carefully put together your profile or ad, ideally with a picture of you in action either working with a customer, boxing, or working on a punching bag. Your ad needs to be concise and include:The type of boxing you teach (Muay Thai, kickboxing, savate, traditional boxing, etc).Your levelYou experience in boxing and coachingThe levels you teach: beginners, intermediates, experts.Your methodology. What lessons and sessions include and how long they last: warm-ups, building muscle, technique, combos, stretches, etc.Where you are and how far youâll travel to sessions.Your rates. On most classified ad sites, youâll want to regularly update and repost your ad.Find out more about making a name for yourself as a boxing coach. In the digital age, there are plenty of platforms where you can swap goods and services. Whether youâre offering a service or a product, you can exchange it for another favour, service, or product. You could even offer boxing coaching in exchange for help around the house. (Source: Starkvisuals)On these platforms, there are coaches, teachers, and tradesmen all offering their services in exchange for other services or, in some cases, hours redeemable against other services on the platform. Some are better than others when it comes to offering coaching and, as usual, it depends on supply and demand. Here are a few you may want to check out:Swapz.co.ukSimbiCraigslistSwapRight.comOf course, most exchange sites specialise in physical objects rather than services, but thereâs nothing to stop you posting your ad there anyway. Somebody may be looking for exactly the type of coaching youâre offering. However, with many of these platforms, youâll have to take something other than cash as payment. The Services You Offer as an Online Boxing CoachAs you'll know, boxing training is more than just sparring, working the heavy bag or speed bag, practising different boxing techniques, or lea rning how to throw punches. There's also the huge aerobic benefit boxing workouts offer. Online boxing coaches can offer various services. (Source: Starkvisuals)A lot of people a looking to boxing classes to get fit or get in shape rather than to become a professional boxer so make sure that you consider offering these services to potential clients, too. Since these sessions are more like fitness training than working on your boxing technique, they're easier to teach online since there are fewer health and safety issues you need to concern yourself with as they'll be working on their stamina and their fitness rather than lifting heavy weights, etc.Of course, a professional boxing trainer will probably want to focus on a traditional boxing class but these high-intensity workout classes are very popular and a source of income that a lot of coaches would be foolish to turn their noses up at.Find out more about becoming a boxing coach.Boxing Coaching on SuperprofAre you a former boxer with years of coaching experience? You can offer to coach via webcam, face-to-face, or in groups. Your clients can then leave feedback, reviews, and recommendations, helping you climb up the rankings and appearing more regularly in search results. Youâre rewarded for how quickly you get back to customers and youâll also want to make sure you have the nicest profile possible with a good photo and a title that will make customers want to learn from you. You can also post a video advertising your coaching!Do nât hesitate to explain what your sessions are like, where they take place, whether you provide equipment or not, and the type of exercises theyâll be doing. So are you ready to start putting together your profile?Whether you're offering kickboxing, Muay Thai, or boxing fitness classes, if you offer a quality service in terms, market yourself right, and charge the right prices, you can be successful without necessarily needing to work in a boxing gym.If you need more help with boxing, you can also get it from one of the many talented tutors on Superprof. There are boxing tutors all over the country and around the world ready offering either face-to-face tutorials, online tutorials, or group tutorials.Face-to-face tutorials tend to be the most costly but they're also the most cost-effective as you'll have the tutor's undivided attention. Online tutorials tend to be a bit cheaper since the tutor doesn't have as many outgoings to worry about and can charge a more competitive rate. G roup tutorials are the cheapest per student per hour as the cost of the tutor's time is shared among all the students in attendance. It's up to you to decide which type is best for you and your budget.Furthermore, many of the tutors on the platform offer free tutoring for the first hour. You can use this time to discuss what you're after, find out more about the tutor, their experience, and their qualifications, see if you get along, and work out whether or not a particular tutor is right for you.

Find an Economics Tutor in Birmingham
Find an Economics Tutor in Birmingham How to Find the Best Economics Tutors in Birmingham ChaptersAscertaining Your NeedWhich Degree to Pursue?Determining the Most Qualified TutorInvestigate Online TutoringEngaging with a Tutoring AgencyLet's get things off on the right foot: anyone studying economics must surely enjoy intellectual challenges, appreciate the beauty and symmetry of maths and have a fondness for compiling and assessing statistics.Economics majors must have an eye on social policy that dictates the distribution of resources and be able to detect patterns of allocation of what is formally called scarce desirables: income, power, wealth and prestige. All of this would be enough to boggle the mind of a mature individual with sharp critical thinking skills who has vast experience in global affairs. Thus it would be understandable that a relatively young, college-aged student, with only a little education in the ways of life, would need help understanding concepts that power societies around the world.Fortunately, Birmingham has a couple of colleges and universitie s with unique and outstanding economics programmes. If you are enrolled in the University of Birmingham undergraduate course or working toward your Master's degree in Econometrics, you may need a tutor of Economics at some point, to clarify some of the more complex economic theories or distil some of the more convoluted mathematics. In this article, Superprof endeavours to guide you to the mentor you seek.Individualized tutoring can help build your confidence! Source: Pixabay Credit: RawpixelEconomics L100 degrees in the UK, the overwhelming majority offer the BSc degree. You might ask yourself at this point: what is your forte?Do you excel in maths, statistical analysis and detecting patterns?Or would you find your greatest career satisfaction in applied economics, addressing practical concerns that face our society today?Where your passion lies â" and which degree path you are on would dictate the type of academic tutoring that would best advance your goals.Putting a bit of thought into exactly what type of help you need will help you winnow down your tutor search to only those with the knowledge, skills and ability to help you.For example: you might not need an economics tutor that charges £60 per hour if all you need help with is math.Conversely, even the most advanced math tutor might not help you understand economic theory, meaning you would need private tutoring tailored to the field you wish to specialise in.Balancing the cost of a home tutor into a possibly meagre student budget requires finesse! Source: Pixabay Credit: Stevepbcollege-level classes, but you will have to be a bit clever to find those related to economics by searching under Social Science rather than Economics. However, those courses are targeted to the graduate student; besides, you might not find what you need...Time to look elsewhere.Hiring a Superprof TutorOur Superprof tutor platform boasts six Economics tutors in the Birmingham area. Every one of them offers their first lesson for f ree, and most of them charge as little as £10 per hour. All of their profiles have been verified, and all would travel to meet you or provide instruction via webcam, if you so desire. In fact, if you are not averse to online tutoring, you might engage a Superprof tutor in London or anywhere else in the country... even outside of the country!Engaging with a Tutoring AgencyIf all else fails, you may resort to going the formal route: contacting a tutoring centre.Again, there are few Economics tutors listed on any agency's roster that we checked on; you may have to focus on the individual aspect of your major that you feel less confident in: maths, sociology or history. As maths is the most troubling aspect most economics students face, if that is also your trouble area, you may find help with Birmingham Tutors. This is the rare agency that will do anything to help struggling students, so you may inquire about any help they could provide for your degree plan.Their price for higher educatio n support is a flat rate of £28 per hour. You are to be commended for taking on a field of study that many would declare too difficult, or even too boring. We hope that you find the tutelage you need in order to achieve your goals!Find an economics tutor in:LondonManchesterGlasgowLeeds

Square Meters to Feet
Square Meters to Feet Square meter is considered the SI unit of area. If a square has a side length of exactly 1m, then the area of such a square is defined as 1 square meter. The SI unit of length is meter and since area is calculated using length, square meter is simply derived from meter. Square meter can be converted to other units as well and one of the unit to which it can be converted is square feet. These square feet can be in turn converted to feet. Example 1: Given area of a rectangle is 50sq meters and the width of the rectangle is 21.6feet. Calculate the length of the rectangle in feet. Area of a rectangle, A = length * width Given: width of the rectangle, l = 21.6ft Area of the rectangle, A = 50sq feet First we should convert the units of area from square meters to square feet. Standard conversion: 1sq meter = 10.764sqft This implies Area = 50sq meters = 50 * 10.764 = 538.2sq feet So length of the rectangle = Area/length= 538.2/ 21.6 = 24.92feet Example 2: Given area of a square is 18sq meters. Calculate the side lengthof the square in feet. Area of a square, A = (side length)2 Given: Area of the square, A = 18sq meters First we should convert the units of area from square meters to square feet. Standard conversion: 1sq meter = 10.764sqft This implies Area = 18sq meters = 18 * 10.764 = 193.7sq feet (approximately) So side length of the square = (Area) Area = (193.7)= 13.92feet (approximately).
Better English Pronunciation with Poetry Stanley Kunitz
Better English Pronunciation with Poetry Stanley Kunitz For a few months now Ive been working with one of our favorite students. His English grammar is nearly perfect, but he has great difficulty with pronunciation. Most of our lessons have therefore focused on reading very elementary texts that focus on sounds and syllables, but dont offer much in the way of intellectual stimulation.Stanley KunitzFinally last night, it hit me that poetry might be the way to go. It offers intense training on the sounds of English, along with something intellectual. For some reason I started him off on Walt Whitman, who is no doubt a great American poet, but who often uses vocabulary and constructions that are outdated by about 100 years. After the class I searched my book shelf and came across a collection of poems by Stanley Kuntiz, the 10th Poet Laureate of the United States. So Then I started thinking that a really great way to practice would be for students to not only be able to read great poetry, but also hear it read by a native English speaker. I g ot Teauna to read the poem, because everyone says shes got the clearest voice. Our resources are admittedly limited at this point, so the sound and quality of the below video of Teauna reading the poem may not be the best. Anyway, we hope that this, combined with the original text of Halleys Comet provided below will help you work on your English pronunciation. Expect more of these in the future! Halleys Cometby Stanley KunitzMiss Murphy in first gradewrote its name in chalkacross the board and told usit was roaring down the stormtracksof the Milky Way at frightful speedand if it wandered off its courseand smashed into the earththered be no school tomorrow.A red-bearded preacher from the hillswith a wild look in his eyesstood in the public squareat the playgrounds edgeproclaiming he was sent by Godto save every one of us,even the little children.Repent, ye sinners! he shouted, waving his hand-lettered sign.At supper I felt sad to thinkthat it was probablythe last meal Id sharewith my mother and my sisters;but I felt excited tooand scarcely touched my plate. So mother scolded meand sent me early to my room. The whole familys asleepexcept for me. They never heard me stealinto the stairwell hall and climbthe ladder to the fresh night air.Look for me, Father, on the roofof the red brick buildingat the foot of Green Streetâ"thats where we live, you know, on the top floor.Im the boy in the white flannel gownsprawled on this coarse gravel bedsearching the starry sky, waiting for the world to end.

I found it difficult in my previous class as there was a lot of disruption and I never understood most of the work. Before using On-Demand, I found maths quite challenging and I wasnât confident in maths.â Do you feel like you have made progress since using On-Demand? âSince using the platform, I have furthered my understanding of the topics I was struggling with. Iâve also been moved to a new set which I am now getting on really well with.â The student further credits his online tutor for their support stating, âmy On-Demand tutor Edward was a big help to me alongside this.â What made you use the platform for the first time? âThe reason why I used it for the first time was because I was struggling in my old class and was looking for some support with homework that was set as I found it challengingâ. âI liked the fact that the tutor was a very kind individual who went out of his way to help. He explained things thoroughly and broke down the questions and kept asking me questions to see if I was understanding it. He also pointed out any misconceptions I had made and gave me some tips on the topic.â From them on, I have used it regularly because I found that Edward was always available and every time I had spoken to him I had learnt something new that I was struggling with and now I feel comfortable in these topics. Advice to others! (Maths alert) My advice to other students is that if youâre struggling with Maths then you should definitely try Tutorfair On-Demand. Learning without Limits This 6th Grader is Taking College Courses
Learning without Limits This 6th Grader is Taking College Courses Learning without Limits: This 6th Grader is Taking College Courses Luca, 12-years-old, Level J One of the founding principles of the Kumon Method is to instill a love of learning in youth. Kumon did just that for Luca. At 12-years-old, heâs enrolled in college courses at his local community college. Thatâs on top of his regular schoolwork, coding courses and his Kumon assignments. âEach class, I walk out with new excitement and joy,â says Luca. Lucaâs love for learning matches his zest for life. Between reading a book a day, to United States Tennis Association matches, to boy scouts, Luca leads a very exciting and busy childhood. He gives us a little insight into his Kumon journey. How has Kumon helped you beyond academics? Kumon has taught me to see repetition as an academic achievement rather than a barrier. I know that each individual worksheet is helping me master my skills. This not only helps me in math, but in many other ways, like in tennis and boy scouts, where I repeat many skills at a high level each time. I can definitely see how repetition helps me master everything I do. What keeps you motivated in Kumon? I have always liked math, but what is great in Kumon is that Iâm always able to motivate myself at the thought of knowing there is another level with even harder math. Every day, I think about how there is a Level X [elective Kumon Math level] and after that, I will go wherever I want. I could be a scientist, physicist, engineer, etc. Kumon can get you anywhere and that is what I have always wanted. âWhat I like most about Kumon is being challenged every day.â-Luca You might also be interested in: THIS KUMON STUDENT HAS A BLACK BELT IN TAEKWONDO AND APPLIES SELF-LEARNING IN HER EVERY DAY ROUTINE Defying Age Limits: How One Student Conquered the Stage and Academics Balance and Drive Have This 5th-Grader Aiming for CEO Kumon Program Completer Earns Perfect SAT Math Score as a 7th Grader Learning without Limits This 6th Grader is Taking College Courses Learning without Limits: This 6th Grader is Taking College Courses Luca, 12-years-old, Level J One of the founding principles of the Kumon Method is to instill a love of learning in youth.
